Complaint Details:
Ola Cabs- CRN no. 474060013. Prior to the booking on morning of 30.11.2016, I called customer care and registered my credit card for ease of payment. Thereafter, I booked a ride on the app on the same morning. There were no pop-ups or options immediately evident to show that i had to CHOOSE a mode of payment. At the end of the ride, I was informed that I had to pay by cash (which I did not have). Then Customer care informed me that I have the option of loading money on Ola Money. After doing this, the customer care informed me that the Ola Money will only be credited AFTER 24 hours and only then can it be used. The matter was sorted out eventually by telling me that the Ola Money would be given to the driver after 24 hours. (the driver, Rohan, incidentally, was quite courteous and helpful). I spent nearly 20 minutes getting this sorted out- which defeated the purpose of taking a cab in the first place.
The point here, is that : (1) the app is not user-friendly (2) It does not offer evident options (such as default option of my registered credit card) (3) the drivers need to inform the customer of the possible options. I am so glad I did not succumb to putting in more money than my fare in Ola Money. I am deleting the app. I trust our black-and-yellow cabs and BEST buses more after this incident of “perceived” convenience.
