Dear Sir,
I am an officer of Indian Air Force and presently posted in Punjab area. I have been badly cheated by your dealership Harmony Honda, Mohali, M/S Vidhaata Honda, Ludhiana, and Honda Assure Insurance provided by IFFCO Tokio.
I bought Honda Mobilio RS model from Harmony Honda on 03 Nov 14. I was provided with Honda Assure insurance with Zero depreciation of IFFCO TOKIO. On 17 Sep 15, I received a call for renewal of insurance which was due on 02 Nov 15. I asked whether it will be in order to get the insurance renewed so early and what if any mishap happens during the interim period. I was informed that since it is Honda Assure insurance, I need not worry and they will take care of everything. I was told the insurance renewal amount, which I transferred to M/S Harmony Honda for renewal of Insurance by NEFT on 18 Sep 2016. Accordingly, my policy was revised vide proposal no P-4946423 dated 18 Sep 2016 and policy no ITG/82167724. However, during the last week of Oct 15 while driving on NH1, the wind screen of my vehicle was hit by a stone and cracked. I got the same replaced from Harmony Honda under insurance.
During Aug 2016, my vehicle was hit by a motorcyclist, due to which the front and rear left doors were damaged. I gave my vehicle for repair to Vidhaata Honda under Insurance claim. The vehicle was repaired and given back to me. However, after about one month, Mr Parminder(Mobile no 8558837712) from Vidhaata Honda informed me that my claim has been rejected by Insurance company under Fake policy. I immediately rang up Harmony Honda and spoke to Mr Bimit (Mobile no 9876544752) whose number was mentioned on Insurance policy. He informed me that he will do the needful, but nothing happened. I again contacted him and he told me to contact Ms Pammi(Mobile no 9898440616). I contacted her wherein she told me that my policy has been declared fake as I was given No Claim Bonus during renewal whereas I had taken claim. I informed her that the policy was renewed in Sep 15 and the claim was taken during last week of Oct15, so how do I know that I have to remit No claim Bonus amount as I was neither advised at the dealership regarding the same nor I was informed by any means of communication. I was informed by Ms Pammi that she will advise their counterpart at Vidhaata Honda to clear my claim after deducting the No claim bonus amount. She also told me to speak to her senior Ms Madhu Rao (Mobile no 9878941451). I spoke to her also and explained her my case and she also assured me of help. Thereafter, I made several calls to all the above mentioned individuals from time to time. I also requested Mr Parminder to make Mr Tiwari, executive of IFFCO Tokio at Vidhaata Honda, to speak to Ms Pammi and Ms Madhu Rao to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, I was requested by Mr Parminder and Mr Manmohan Singh GM Vidhaata Honda that since the salary of Mr Parminder is held up due to non-clearance of the claim, I may remit the amount which will later be paid back to me after the Insurance claim is settled. Accordingly, to help the individual, I remitted the amount of Rs30837.00 by Cheque no 861749 on 05 Nov 16 to Vidhaata Honda.
However, after receiving the money, the dealership suddenly stopped responding. I kept ringing the four individuals ie. Mr Parminder, Mr Tiwari, Ms Madhu Rao and Ms Pammi, but nothing happened and On 26 Nov 16, I was informed in clear terms that my claim will not be paid.
The above incidence has left me heartbroken. I just want to know what is my fault in the entire episode for which my claim has been refused. I paid premium well before time and as advised by your agent. If I was to pay back any amount, it should have been communicated to me. Now M/S Harmony Honda and Vidhaata Honda people are blaming each other for this, but in the end I am a looser by Rs 60, 000.00, as I paid the premium of Insurance but yet did not get any benefit from it. If my insurance is fake, then please instruct M/S Harmony Honda to return the premium amount of Rs26, 800.00 which I transferred them for renewal of insurance on 18 Sep 2015 or clear my claim and pay me the claim amount.
In view of above, I hereby request you to kindly look into the matter and resolve the issue. I am an armed forces officer deployed in the service of country and I sincerely hope that you would let me get cheated.
